the birthing of humanity

Wittgenstein said, "Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent." But whereof one can speak, one must speak.

Here is what I must speak:

Humans are moving into a higher consciousness, a wider and deeper Awareness. Do not keep looking at the daily news of murderous and stuporous insensitivity. That is the old consciousness. Humanity is on the move. A birthing is happening. The pressures of the womb, the womb of humanity, are increasing. We cannot stay in the foetal position to which we have become accustomed. It is time to be born. We are at the beginning of a consciousness change of humanity -- opening to the nondual rather than the dual is its longterm action.

the synthronizing of spirit and matter (part 6)

God is a circle with no circumference whose center is everywhere. And each of us is that center. Our center is a center of the universe of existence. Our center and our Source's center are the same center. This is synthronicity.

we are not our thoughts

Two talented, creative, and loving folk, who live not far from here, brought it up that "thoughts come and go -- we remain" and who is the we?

First of all, this is an appropriate challenge to my statement in an earlier post: "You are your thoughts." In this blog, I sometimes write from the perspective of the nondual and sometimes from the dual: the world of splitness. Many of us live in the dualistic world most of the time. When we do, we entangle ourselves in our thoughts. The energy principle, whatever we attend to, we become, kicks into play. We become our thoughts.

In the nondual, we are not our thoughts. And in the nondual, the question of who we are disappears. The answers to that question, from a dualistic perspective, range from "Who is asking the question, grasshopper?" to "God, of course, since there is always no one ever here but him." Both answers, and other answers of that kind, are designed to discombobulate the dualistic mind.

maker

I used the term "Maker" in my last post. I know some of you don't believe in a Maker, but instead that all things arose out of some kind of spontaneous combustion of chaotic nothingness. Fine by me that you believe that. But it reminds me of that old joke where the scientific researchers scraped together a bunch of dirt and created a human. They told God they were as good as he was and they didn't need him around anymore. "Hmmm . . ." says God. "Not so fast, boys and girls. Nice try, but next time get your own dirt!"

The eye cannot see itself. A tooth cannot bite itself. A hand cannot grasp itself. Logic cannot logos itself.

let me try to be clearer

Some don't know what the heck I am talking about in my posts. Let me try to be clearer, though the harsh direct light of the noon sun makes everything look flat. The enchanted and mysterious becomes horizontal boring scape, like driving on a two-lane straight flat desert road for hours with no coffee, music, or chocolate. The mind tends to drift to sleep. Poetry becomes prose, a manual of instruction written in English by a person with a different birth language.

But here goes. Take One: The World of Appearances
  1. At least two major worlds co-exist.
  2. One of them is the world of appearances.
  3. The world of appearances is constructed by humans agreeing this is this and that is that and this will never become that, nor that become this.
  4. It is considered impolite to mention that the world of appearances is created by human reflection and agreement.
  5. Most humans live within the world of appearances.
  6. Living in the world of appearances is considered as sane.
  7. Living in a world created by human reflection and agreement is considered sane.
  8. To live outside the world created by human reflection and agreement is considered insane and those who do so are considered to be either fools or holy or both and are fair game to be labelled as dangerous.
  9. Those who live outside the world of appearances consider those who live inside and who don't know they live inside to be asleep, in some kind of stupor.
  10. Those who live outside the world of appearances either leave those who live inside totally alone, passing by them every day unrecognized, or try to communicate with the appearance-world dwellers.

What I just wrote seems way too simplistic and is definitely written in the language of prosaic reflection, but otherwise I just go off into semi-mystical poesy which is not understood unless you already understand.

response to MCB's comment on "the synthronizing of spirit and matter (part 2) "

MCB, your description of sitting where Buddha sat and the resultant merge is good strong imagery (and experience) of what I am labelling synthronicity. The experiential body that we are is vast and readily merges with, and already is, the energetic realm of the Buddha and of Christ. When without reflection, without continuing to tell ourselves the same old stories of who we are, thus hypnotizing ourselves into particles, when pure consciousness, we are one without an other. We leave the world of duality (which is a consciousness state) and open to the realm of the nondual.

Not two! Not two! the monks of old would assert. Not two and not even one, since "one" is already a separation. When we realize this (have real eyes), misery and fear and doubt fall away. We live in and as eternity. When that song "What if God were one of us" was popular a few years ago, I laughed. A lovely song, but it had not gone quite far enough. What if God were all of us?

I know you know all this, but I'm one of those verbal guys and like to marvel at our situation. I appreciate our friendship and the inspiration of your existing. Love to and with you (as I know it is), Bubba!

notes

Dualistic consciousness is the most widespread
consciousness on earth.

The dual cannot be made nondual.
It is a gift from the Source, the Nondual.

The nondual knows the dual,
but the dual does not know the nondual.

If I am of a dualistic nature, you must talk with my dualistic nature. Love (the nondual) is the key here.

I am not totally helpless in becoming nondual.
Dualistic attention can be transcended.

Do not become dual to talk with the dual. No one benefits.

If I feel either slighted or puffy about this, I am in dualistic consciousness.

I am a centaur. My lower body is the dual. My upper body is the nondual. Sometimes I am the horse. Sometimes I am the Rider.
Sometimes I am the-horse-and-rider riding, no distinction.
