But here goes. Take One: The World of Appearances
- At least two major worlds co-exist.
- One of them is the world of appearances.
- The world of appearances is constructed by humans agreeing this is this and that is that and this will never become that, nor that become this.
- It is considered impolite to mention that the world of appearances is created by human reflection and agreement.
- Most humans live within the world of appearances.
- Living in the world of appearances is considered as sane.
- Living in a world created by human reflection and agreement is considered sane.
- To live outside the world created by human reflection and agreement is considered insane and those who do so are considered to be either fools or holy or both and are fair game to be labelled as dangerous.
- Those who live outside the world of appearances consider those who live inside and who don't know they live inside to be asleep, in some kind of stupor.
- Those who live outside the world of appearances either leave those who live inside totally alone, passing by them every day unrecognized, or try to communicate with the appearance-world dwellers.
What I just wrote seems way too simplistic and is definitely written in the language of prosaic reflection, but otherwise I just go off into semi-mystical poesy which is not understood unless you already understand.
Next: The World of Energetic Interwhirling
I sometimes feel like a lamp that flashes on and off--world of appearance/world of Spirit. Sort of like one of those drawings--looked at a certain way it's a vase, shift the eyes and it's 2 people facing each other in profile. Reality/illusion. In either one, the other looks like illusion. It's a conscious decision which I live in when I'm awake. When I'm asleep... Eve
ReplyDeleteThanks for the simplistic explanation. Unless one is a reader of books on this subject or of the philosophers and thinkers you refer to, one is lost and feeling dumb as a stump.
ReplyDeleteI know there is truth in what you say. Though I don't understand it all.
I think I live somewhere between both worlds.
Love to you brother.
Yes, Ginny, these postings leap across domains -- from zen to christ-ianity to the buddha to sufic islam to the vedic scriptures to the tao te ching to nietzsche to aurobindo to panikkar to groucho to emerson to hunter thompson to meister eckhart to jung to geigerich to the martial artists and hand to hand combat fighters of long ago and beyond and more -- no end. Many fingers pointing in the same direction. If you've got one, you've got them all and yet each is in a different consciousness state. God expressing God in rich plenitude. Blessings to you, womb-mate.
ReplyDeleteHi, Eve, yes indeed -- when the lamp flashes on and off, from one one realm to another so quickly and consistently that the two are indistinguishable, that approaches what I mean by synthronicity: the two sitting on the same seat simultaneously. We are in the world and not of the world. I love your warrior spirit.
ReplyDeleteGeorge:
ReplyDeleteI know of both of these dwelling places... it has always seemed sad to me that there are few on this earth that I could speak of it w/o being looked down upon as if I have a third eye growing out of my forehead. I too live on the one plane in my humanness and try to "be in" the other plane of consciousness because that is where my "real self" is. My reality being the spiritual realm... At least I wish it could be this way.
Blessing to you…
Yes, looking at ourselves through others' eyes is okay up to a point, and that point is about 5 nanoseconds. As you know, you do have a third eye, the eye of spirit. I figure our next move is to fully accept our spiritual reality and become as comfortable in that realm as a baby in a fully functioning womb, all needs met before even the whispering of an asking for. Except we are not babies. We are warriors, warriors of spirit, offspring of the eversurging Wellspring, embodyings of our Source. Thank you for your blessings. I am receiving. Blessings and love to you. I appreciate your open heart.
ReplyDeleteForget the 5 nanoseconds, I can't even last that long! :)
ReplyDeleteYes... "the next step is to fully accept our spiritual reality and become as comfortable in that realm as a baby in a fully functioning womb ..."
Blessings and love to you.
