shifting gears
In opening to the borning of new consciousness, we step outside the bounds of the known. The leap into the abyss. All hope with its laying of track into a future is abandoned. A hope chest is a drag. Containing hypnotic zombies. Throw it on the fire. What fire? That fire burning in the heart! The creative advance, some call it. The advance of creation, the ongoing process of the birthing of the cosmos. That little me, the one we each so carefully construct? Ditched! Compost! History! We step outside all bounds of the known. This vehicle has only two gears. Stagnation! Leap!

This is so true, George.
ReplyDeleteI've thought quite a bit about this and the only slight departure I have with your words is with the "leap" idea. Somehow "leap" seems awfully energetic. I see more "surrender" than "leaping," but that's just me. Let go, or stagnate where you're at.
This perhaps is a small thing in the final analysis, yet it seems the new consciousness is birthed through forgiveness, gratitude and ... surrender. Sort of like the mystics' cliche "Let Go & Let God," which does have a lot of truth to it.
Please know that this is not a disagreement with your overall message, which is right on target. Whether you're letting go or leaping, the point is get the hell out of your ego and our collective history.
I love Bob Dylan's lyric: "He who's not busy being born is busy dying."
You bet, Gregory! Surrender. Leap does have some self-will tinge to it. Surrender all the way. Thank you.
