nested spheres

Think of yourself as a set of concentric spheres, spheres nested within spheres. Consider the innermost sphere to be your physicality and its sense-ations. Perceive the next sphere to be your thoughts, your fantasies concerned with your personal (persona: mask) being; all the "I" stuff, "me" stuff, and "mine" stuff. Beyond that is the third sphere; awareness beyond the body and the ego; an awareness extending to infinity in all "directions." This is the realm of the "gods," of the "archetypes," of the "holy ghost," of knowledge beyond ratio-nal knowledge. This is the realm of create-ivity. Re-ligions (swearing over and over to the same creed) are first and second realm interpretations of this third realm.

Now run it the other way. At your core is this third realm. It is nested within your persona, within your egoic self you have co-created to deal with life's woundings and with societal expectation; an identity you have "fallen" for. The outer sphere is your crust, the physical body. Your core is waiting to irrupt, to burst through. You are a human volcano. You may lie dormant and never irrupt; you may irrupt once within your lifetime; you may be the irruption, turning yourself in side out, walking the earth with awareness.

Whether irruption occurs or not, the realm of create-ion is both at your core and surrounding you. You are It walking around while immersed in It. Nested spheres. Now go read your Sunday paper.
