Regard

We regard people as either like ourselves or different. Regarding them as different, we regard them as exotic beings or we regard them as idiots. Regarding them as like ourselves, we regard them as friends and as people of superior understanding.

  1. George,

When I re-read your post and substitute "judge" in place of "regard" it calls to mind the human parasite that dominates so much of our interactions. Seems we are forced to evaluate others driven by an ego that must be satisfied in order to extend its existance. When we deem or judge ourselves better or worse than others, our ego or victim parasites are alive and functioning as they wish and having their way with us. This can lead to a lot of energy sucking emotion, heartbreak, and dis-ease. Tough as it is to break the cycle, love is a strong anti-dote for the parasites.
