There is the receptive brain and the process brain (if you want to talk brain language). The process brain is what you think with and where you live much of your miserable shutdown life processing away. The receptive brain is what Jesus was referring to (and he was absolutely right) when he said "knock and it shall be opened." It's a paradox of sorts. The receptive brain knocks through its very quiescence and It is opened. What is previously not understood is revealed.
It is true that to those who have it shall be given and to those who do not have (this receptive awareness) it shall be taken away. And if that sounds harsh, there is nothing harsh about it. It is fair. When anyone of us bozos quits playing our process brain games and steadfastly moves into receptivity, we will be shown more. More will be revealed. Knock with that soft velvet hammer of your mindsoul and it shall be opened.
