ebb and flow

He must increase, while I must decrease.

This is a hard lesson that continues to be learned.

And it is not only a lesson in the sense of giving it our willing attention and deliberate practice. It is a fact, Jack.

O, we can stand and bluster and wail and rejoice as the apple of our own eye. We can plant our flag in the sovereignty of our own being. All those wondrous and terror-able things we humans do and embody when we say I will. We can do all that -- and it is the nature-al thing to do.

And still it is the case. He must increase, while I must decrease.

I am the originated, not the origin. I did not call all this into being.
It called me into being.

I can rant and rave and wave both fists in the air and jump up and down proclaiming the majesty of my self. Or lie back in silent despair. Two sides, same coin. A little foolish though.

The sane move is to recognize the TaoFlow. I am a ripple in this current, a wave in this ocean.

He must increase while I must decrease.

The Sufi say it this way -- "Die before you die and resurrect now!"

[NPFH -- Not a path for the faint-hearted.]

"Die before you die and resurrect now!"...If we can do this...does the He and I become one?
