tsunami

Human society, this world, is based upon separation and divisiveness. Our society, our science, our religions, our daily life in their current forms are based upon, could not exist without this mental habit of chopping reality into pieces and bits.

So long as we succumb to this largely unconscious, habitual way of thinking, we will be at war within ourselves, with each other, and with "nature." Competition, war, backbiting, plotting, scheming, force, opposition, foot-dragging, hatreds, stridency will always be our way of "life."

Moving out of this mistaken view is our only hope for societal transformation. A tsunami of consciousness change is required, a change that once effected will cause us to see the sheer arrogance and nightmarish horror of separateness and division in which we once lived, and wonder how we could have been so blind.

We are not separate. We all call each other into existence. We must be careful what we are calling.

A tsunami begins with one small shudder within the existing order.

The existing order of human society resides within my and your consciousness.

  1. Hi George,
It is good to see you back on the blog grid. Yes one slight frictuous step...one hiccup...cough... can set off an avalanche. There is a built in tension with existence just brimming for action. Thanks for your insight.

  2. Being continually involved in political/environmental work, which unfortunately becomes mostly reactive, I run into this gap every time. It always begs the question of where and when energy is best directed. Each time I send ripples more into the tsunami effect, my thoughts or "fears" are called back into the arena of damage control, and I become scattered again.
Thanks for the succinct articulation of the Real Work, George! Namaste -

  3. One step, one breath, one moment
    at a time.

    A storm

    Not destroying
    but uniting everything

    Along the consciousness continuum.

LG. And welcome back and hope your stay was joyous!

  4. And they said, "Let the tsunami begin."

He said, "Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?"

    They replied, "We can."

And He said, "Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized." (Mark 10:37-39)

A small shudder has arisen out of the existing order...

  5. Provocative post, George. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say there are signs, globally, that a change in consciousness ~ in terms of greater empathy and cooperation ~ is occurring.

It's more like "high tide" than a "tsunami" at this time, and of course there's still more than enough divisiveness to fill the 24-hour cable news networks. But much of the noise we hear seems to be the death-rattle of a dying order. The change, while affecting human consciousness, is not political, which means it will develop below the radar for some time.

I hope I'm not nuts in sensing this.
