All I care for is to know Christ . . .
Phil. 3:10
For me to live is Christ . . .
Phil. 1:21
What is Christ but the incarnation of our Source, the honoring of and the living as the Breath that breathes us, the Breath that calls us into Being? Who are we but the embodying of the Spirit, the Lifeforce that animates the entirety of the universe, the cosmos?
All I care for is to know Christ, and to not put that burden and that blessing of Christness upon some lone figure out there in historical and mythical time, but to open to the Christness of my own being, to this fragile yet enduring incarnation that I am, the only incarnation that I know from inside out.
For me to live is Christ, to live as the incarnation of Spirit that I am, to live as this particular heartbeat of suffering and forgiveness and love, incarnated in this body, this body that pays the bills, raises the children, drives in traffic, faces loneliness and pain, sheds tears of joy, this body that is Spirit Itself incarnate.
I open in total abandon to the Breath that breathes me, to the Father and the Mother, and as the Son and as the Daughter. All I care for is to know the Christ that I am and the Christ that I am not. The two walk as one, close friends.

I know this to be true, my friend. Thinking about embodying spirit is not the same as living it. Total abandon is an odd concept for one who has made a life of clinging to safety, but your words ring as clear as a bell. I hear our friend Mike Roche calling his students again -- "come to the edge!", and I find myself again as a beginner. I open in total abandon to the Breath that breathes me.
