stuck in your own craw

"If one is whole, one will be filled with light, but if one is divided, one will be filled with darkness." -- Jesus, Gospel of Thomas

We think we are individuals, but we are not. We pride ourselves as stand-alones facing the onslaught of the world, prize ourselves as back-of-hand-to-brow brave sufferers of the human condition, alone and misunderstood in our magnificence. Illusion! Mirage! Delusion! Grab the hook and get that sucker off the stage!

Or going the other way as a pitiful victim of a cosmic joke, a sheep separated from the herd for special ridicule. Stop it! Stop it right now! Quit playing those silly games. You know who you are, out there blinking like a firefly in the night, sending signals of distress. Wallowing like a piggie in your own, your very own ineptness. Quit it! Quit it now!

Games! All those games! All designed to make you!, precious you!, an individual stuck in your own craw. Cry out in pain! Yes! Suffering understood! But cry as the whole entirety of the universe birthing. If you are going to suffer, suffer for us all. Then wipe your tears and honk your nose and get on down the road. The Force is with you and is you. Here, here's a hankie.
