little sharpened pencil points

Most of us is missing -- in action.
Notice how many "you's" there are in a day,
even in an hour. The varying moods, thoughts, emotions,
persona's. Different in different settings -- the grocery store,
the church, a hiking trail. Now this with this person; now that
with that person. Add up how many "you's" there are in a year.

All are real. For the moments they exist.
Yet all those surface appearances are just that.

Iceberg imagery is appropriate here.
The vastness of you is below the surface.
"They know not what they do," said Jesus.
"The unconscious," said Freud and Jung.
"The It," said Georg Groddeck.
By whatever name, It is unknown.

Missing in action -- that's our story.

We turn around to get a look at this vastness of our being
and wind up whirling dervishes, spinning tops.

Little sharpened pencil points on the page of life.
We get the point. We are the point.
We look to comprehend the pencil,
the vast unseen hand, and the hugeness beyond that.

Blessings, George--and thank you for that Sedona stream (of consciousness).
