belief and understanding

Si no credideritis, non intelligetis.
If you do not believe, you will not understand.
--Isaiah 7:9

Belief is not swearing to a creed.
Belief is an energy extended into the unknown.
Belief is investing energetic awareness,
extending one's light of consciousness,
one's purity of heart into an existential domain
for comprehension, for understanding.

By existential domain I mean
a realm of cogno-spiritual sensing, a subtle arena
into which one opens one's soul, one's core of being.
No forethought. No pre-judging.
Quiet simple opening and listening and hearing.

Belief is an extension of you.
Lief: Willing, disposed, pleasing, agreeable/
gladly, willingly, freely/a dear one, a sweetheart, a beloved.
Be Lief. Be willing, be agreeable, be a dear one, a beloved.

If you do not believe, you will not understand.
