mind your pee and cues

Laughing. I'm getting more hits on this blog for the RunPee posting than from any of my abstract philo-sopho-meta-psyche-ical musings. Folks' minds are more focused on their bladders and the appropriate time to empty them in the movies. The state of American consciousness! Liters of the pee world!

  1. George,

I heard that the original meaning of 'Mind your P's and Q's' came from a bar. When the roudy patrons of a bar would start to get out of hand the bar tender would issue the command 'Mind you P's and Q's'. Refering to the PINTS and QUARTS of beer in their hands.

It's ironic how many great moments and saying throughout history involve alcohol.

    Later,

    Shane.

  2. Shane, thanks! I have often wondered where that came from. My phantasy produced an arithmetical solution -- mind your products and quotients. The alcohol explanation has more common ground to it.

  3. Full bladders, rectums, and bullets coming towards one, tend to focus the mind, to paraphrase George and Churchill.
