The numerical symbols o and 1 represent the entirety of existence. O represents the Soul of our Source. O is the "circle with no circumference whose center is everywhere." 1 represents individual manifestations. Each 1 of us is a soul, an o within O. To the extent that you do not identify with soul, to the extent that you consider yourself 1 instead of o, you make yourself a victim. As a 1, you stand alone, a viagric erection (regardless of gender) in the midst of holiness (O-liness). By viagric I mean a personality based upon a false premise, that quantity is the raison d'etre of life, and its overarching practice of individuality as the correct stance for attaining quantity. Quality, or soul, is thrown under the bus.
I agree with Brad Olson, in his latest posting over at Mountain Waves, though he does not say it in these words, that our civilization's only hope for "salvation" is for us to turn from 1 to O, from quantity to quality, to a state of radical and transparent openness.
