the imaginal realm

Our society has focused almost entirely on the sense-able/sensual and the rational/intellectual aspects of our being and has paid the price as a result. A precious baby, the Imaginal Realm, has been thrown out with the bathwater of superstition and fantasy. It is time to reclaim the baby.

The Imaginal is the realm of the Magi (which we are when we open to it), the realm of Spirit, of spirit-uality; a realm more real and more substantive than the sense-able and the ratio-nal. The Imaginal connects us to a vast spiritual heritage transcending all religious form and to a spiritual holoarchy present with us now.

  1. Thanks, George. i like that.

sometimes i find it challenging to move through this life and learn about the interactions that the imaginal realm has on the other realms (rational, etc.) in a world where these other realms are considered to be the only ones that can affect one another. i find that in this world where many/most focus on interactions between a set number of realms (often all but the imaginal--that realm of great trust and true faith), one has to learn for him/herself where this often-neglected realm fits in and how it interacts with one's life or one's movement through life. Hopefully that makes some sense...

  2. Ben, Yes. In this society we are given very little training as to how to live as soul and spirit. Each of us may find it within a religion or one of its sub-branches, but have to guard against the dogma of that particular form. As you know, to live as an embodying of spirit rather than as a divisive mind atop a ravenous appetite is not always easy but it's the only way to fly!
