jesus wept

sometimes i think if i were the creator i would just hit the cosmic reset button -- take it all back to zero -- start again -- just the earth part i reckon -- the rest seems to be doing okay -- the humans seem like such a botched-up group -- everyone hating everyone -- seeing themselves as the chosen ones -- the others as ratfink lizards low on the evolutionary scale -- apologists for each grouping on blogs, in books, and churches using creative wit sardonic humor bombastic putdowns amassing pep rally clusters of the righteous -- calling on god to kill the godless -- group a killing group b and group b killing group a because it's the right thing to do -- and as always men, women, children, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, uncles, grandmothers, aunts, grandfathers blown to smithereens -- body parts everywhere -- the way we always do it -- the way we have always been -- murderous righteous two-leggeds still using the kindergarten argument: it's all their fault

Thank you for posting this video. I haven't seen it, although I think Bill Moyers' is the most humane voice in the media. "Brute force turns self defense into [...] terrorism." The truth of this resonates from the playgrounds to the halls of governments, and we always want to blame the other for it even though I always notice three fingers pointing back at me when I point a finger at another.
    Blessings,
    Brad

  2. The human tendency is to regard anyone who has different views than MY OWN as stupid or evil or both -- who must then be either converted, annihilated, or ignored.

This arrogance (often disguised as love) results in clustering with others of similar arrogance and feeling good about ourselves as the true and righteous ones.
