HAPPY SOLSTICE!

Happy Solstice!

Though many see this
shortest day of the year
as the beginning of winter,
I see it as the beginning of summer.

The nights now grow shorter
and the days longer.

The sun returns!

  1. Amen, Brother! Soon there will be trout leaping, birds singing, and birthing everywhere. It has commenced.

  2. Had the coldest solstice fire last night that I can ever remember. Came back inside after to feast on shrimp, cheese, crackers, kale & sausage soup and some mighty fine 18-year-old Jameson whiskey.

Crescent moon hanging high in the sky right now. Around 10 below according to the thermom. The days will be getting longer.

    Cheers!
